Overview
As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing shift operations and supporting the team to achieve targets across performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of approximately 30 operators and 2 supervisors across processing and packing.
- Oversee daily operations, including shift handovers, KPI management, and labour planning.
- Support the delivery of targets relating to efficiency, output, and service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) activities using Lean methodologies.
- Maintain standards in GMP, food safety, quality, and health & safety.
- Support team development through training, coaching, and regular communication.
Qualifications
- Experience in a Shift Manager, Production Manager, or Operations role within food manufacturing.
- Experience supporting or leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of performance measures (KPIs) within production or operations.
- Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
- Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement tools.
- A structured and collaborative approach to problem‑solving and team engagement.
