Overview

As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing shift operations and supporting the team to achieve targets across performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of approximately 30 operators and 2 supervisors across processing and packing.
  • Oversee daily operations, including shift handovers, KPI management, and labour planning.
  • Support the delivery of targets relating to efficiency, output, and service.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) activities using Lean methodologies.
  • Maintain standards in GMP, food safety, quality, and health & safety.
  • Support team development through training, coaching, and regular communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Shift Manager, Production Manager, or Operations role within food manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting or leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of performance measures (KPIs) within production or operations.
  • Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement tools.
  • A structured and collaborative approach to problem‑solving and team engagement.
