HPE is seeking a high‑caliber Senior Director, Product Management for Zerto Software within the HPE Cyber Resilience and Data Protection Solutions organization. In this hands‑on people leadership role, you will define and drive product vision, offering execution, and business outcomes through a combination of significant direct contribution, role‑based authority, and organizational influence. You will own the whole‑product strategy and execution for Zerto Software, including software, services, commercial models, customer experiences, ecosystem integrations, and routes to market required to deliver complete and differentiated solutions. You will help establish Zerto Software as a leading solution for workload operational resilience and hybrid‑cloud mobility for the cyberthreat and agentic AI eras. This position will report into a senior product management executive and actively contribute as a member of the Cyber Resilience and Data Protection Solutions Leadership Team. You will also contribute to the success of the broader HPE portfolio by appropriately leveraging Zerto Software, its technologies, your expertise, and your team to create value across multiple offerings and business initiatives. You will achieve outcomes through significant direct contribution, effective leadership of a geographically dispersed product management organization, and proactive, collaborative engagement across the value chain. You will work closely with Engineering, Services, Finance, Marketing, Enablement, Go‑To‑Market, Sales, and strategic technology partners to deliver measurable customer, product, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing product management organization.
- Establish clear accountability, operating mechanisms, and KPIs to drive predictable business outcomes.
- Own the end‑to‑end product vision, strategy, roadmap, execution, and lifecycle for Zerto Software, including software, services, support, integrations, customer experiences, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Enable the success of adjacent HPE offerings that derive value from Zerto Software and identify opportunities to improve Zerto Software outcomes by leveraging broader HPE capabilities.
- Translate market, customer, and competitor insight into clearly justified and prioritized requirements, balancing short‑term needs and long‑term investments.
- Define market segmentation, value propositions, positioning, packaging and commercial strategies and tactics aligned to business objectives.
- Define the commercial model, offering structure, and pricing strategy.
- Provide inputs to discount and margin targets and reconcile actuals versus budgets.
- Drive cross‑functional execution including with Engineering, Support, and Services to deliver software feature, service, and experience releases on plan.
- Partner with Marketing, Enablement, and Go‑To‑Market teams to create sales tools and customer‑facing messaging, and to enable and activate the field.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to your leadership and to Sales; represent the portfolio and organization as a credible spokesperson; and present to executives, customers, partners, and analysts as needed.
Required Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in enterprise cyber resilience, data protection, business continuity, virtualization and containers, or related software domains.
- Proven general manager style of product management leadership experience, including significant experience leading senior product managers in a geographically dispersed team.
- Strong customer and market orientation with a demonstrated ability to translate insights into differentiated features and measurable outcomes.
- Strong technical acumen combined with exceptional business judgment and commercial understanding.
- Experience owning or influencing holistic business plans and investment decisions.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross‑functional initiatives that span Engineering, Services, Finance, Marketing, Enablement, Go‑To‑Market, and Sales organizations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and simplify complex technical and business topics.
- Demonstrated ability to define meaningful KPIs, interpret business and product performance data, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- Bias for action, strong collaboration skills, sound judgment, and a pragmatic approach to solving complex business and technology challenges.
