The Account Executive at ZeroLight will take responsibility for driving our expansion during an exciting growth phase. As we move beyond our dominant position in the automotive sector into diverse new verticals, we need a high-achieving, technically minded individual who thrives on seeing complex deals to completion and creating fulfilling partnerships with our clients. You will own the full sales cycle, from strategic prospecting to closing high value contracts, as well as on‑going customer accounts. To our clients you will become a trusted expert who understands our technology and how to use it to achieve their corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue generation & pipeline ownership – manage the entire sales process from prospecting to initial discovery and technical qualification through to final negotiation and closing, pulling in the technical & creative expertise that you need internally to get deals over the line.
- Identifying pain points for clients and through continuous relationship building, position ZeroLight as the primary solution.
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator and your own network to build a quality pipeline of accounts.
- Lead demos and technical presentations that build trust with stakeholders, from Execs to Technical Leads to Procurement teams.
- Develop long‑term growth plans for key accounts, ensuring we are expanding our footprint within their organisations.
- Engender strong connections internally within ZeroLight to ensure that other departments have a deep understanding of customer needs and feedback, and that all teams are working towards the same end goal.
About You
You have a track record of achievement and you do this through generating trust and connection with product understanding. Your success comes from exploring and resolving client challenges and that in turn comes from listening, expertise and creativity. You are competitive when it comes to hitting goals and you are a team player who values the collective success of the company. You enjoy navigating the complexity of a long sales cycle and have the resilience to steer opportunities through any blocks, whilst still keeping momentum high. You are proactive in finding new ways to reach decision‑makers and get ZeroLight solutions in front of key stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in a customer facing role, ideally within technology but not essential.
- Experience selling software is a bonus, but the ability to quickly pivot and speak the language of new industries is essential.
- Able to think creatively about how our software is positioned and come up with innovative solutions to client challenges.
- Confident communicator who can pitch and showcase technical solutions in an engaging and compelling way.
- Ability to simplify and articulate complex technical concepts to generate understanding and interest.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to summarise & distil complex information.
- Happy to travel regularly to client sites across the world.
