Level: Junior / Entry-Level (pathway to Account Executive)

We are looking for an individual to join the ZeroLight team in the role of Account Associate. This is a new position for the company, working with our Growth team and progressing through a learning and development pathway to a sales role within ZeroLight. Initially you will provide essential support to our Growth team, learning our tech and products from the inside out, onboarding new clients, and identifying growth opportunities in new verticals. Your goal is to become a product expert first. By supporting the team on major accounts and mastering lead generation, you will spend the next 12–24 months building the foundation to transition into a full Account Exec role.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Market Expansion: Using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify key stakeholders and build connections within our core automotive accounts and emerging new verticals. Supporting the execution and promotion of webinars and digital events as key lead generation tools, following up with attendees to progress their interest in ZeroLight to generate commercial opportunities. Bridging the gap as we move into new industries, conducting initial conversations, researching market requirements and tailoring our outreach strategies. Capturing and analysing lead generation activities to understand what works, providing reports to the team on outreach and establishing a database of key contacts on Hubspot.
  • Account Support, Onboarding & Demos: Guide new customers through the onboarding process, ensuring they understand the technical value of our products, providing support and best practice tips so that non-technical contacts can get the best out of our tools. Providing ongoing support and guidance to existing clients, presenting engagement data and gathering feedback. Support Growth team on complex accounts and opportunities. Demo products to new & existing clients, showcasing the best of what ZeroLight can offer whilst listening to customer needs and shaping delivery around this.
  • Product Mastery: Deep-dive into our products to understand the how and why behind our solutions. Develop understanding to the level that you can translate complex technical features into clear, value driven conversations for clients.

What we’re looking for

This is a role that requires energy, action and initiative. Whilst there will be comprehensive training to understand what we do and how we deliver this, you will need to have the drive and motivation to move forward independently. This will include hunting for new opportunities, whilst having the discipline and diligence to support customer onboarding and existing accounts. You enjoy talking to people and have a natural curiosity about what makes people tick. You prefer to win people over with your knowledge, expertise and ability to solve their problems, over performative sales techniques. You have a natural aptitude and interest in technology. You enjoy gaining a deeper understanding of how things work and can explain those workings to others without using buzzwords. You have a ‘fail fast’ mentality and approach sales opportunities with confidence and resilience. You can find a balance between analysing negative feedback and moving forward to the next opportunity.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years in a professional environment (Tech, Sales Support, or a client-facing role).
  • Confident communicator, able to hold an engaging discussion as well as present a compelling pitch deck.
  • Exceptional written skills. You should have an engaging style that steers clear of jargon and generates engagement.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Hubspot is a plus, but we can provide training in both.
  • A degree in Business, Tech, or a related field is preferred, but we value capability over specific certificates.
  • Ability to travel within Europe and further afield.

The Career Path

This role is designed as a 2 year developmental runway. Year 1: Learning the product, mastering lead gen, and supporting major accounts. Year 2: Taking more autonomy, leading smaller demos, and closing minor deals. The Goal: Transitioning into an Account Executive role with your own customers and commission structure.
