Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is looking for a Trust Grade registrar (ST5 and above) in Respiratory Medicine to join an existing team of 33 NHS and academic consultants providing general and specialist Respiratory services to the people of Nottinghamshire and beyond. You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals providing outstanding Respiratory care and internationally recognised Respiratory research within the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre, a partnership between NUH and the University of Nottingham.

NUH is the fourth largest acute Trust within the UK, with a busy emergency department at Queen's Medical Centre, which is a level 1 Trauma Centre. NUH provides services to 2.5 million residents of Nottingham and surrounding communities, and specialist services to a further 3-4 million across the region and nationally.

Applicants must have GMC registration and full MRCP. Sub specialty interests could also be accommodated and will have the opportunity to develop their skills in areas like lung cancer, pleural disease, thoracic ultrasound, non‑invasive ventilation and airway diseases.

Essential Qualifications

  • Full MRCP
  • GMC Registration
  • PLAB for non‑European Graduates
  • ALS Certified

Essential Experience

  • Good and wide range experience of clinical medicine in acute inpatient setting
  • Completion of Core Medical training or equivalent
  • Evidence of participation in, and commitment to Clinical audit
  • Experience of and commitment to teaching medical students, more junior doctors and allied health professionals
  • Experience of working in a UK Tertiary hospital setting

Desirable

  • Experience of working in Respiratory Medicine and dealing with acute Respiratory presentations
