About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic and innovative team within our Paediatric and Neonatal service at Nottingham Childrens Hospital SLT service (Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust – NUH).
Employment Details
- Permanent full-time post. Part-time working would be considered.
- This is a Band 5 to 6 progression post and is not part of a rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage, triage and prioritise own caseload providing specialist SLT assessment, differential diagnosis, and management of communication and eating, drinking and swallowing needs for neonatal and paediatric inpatients.
- Initially based at Queens Medical Centre and City Campus Neonatal units with potential opportunities to work in the Paediatric service as you develop.
- Collaborate with the therapies team, wider MDT and community SLT services.
- Participate in projects, task and finish groups within the SLT service and deliver training.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in speech and language therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Registered member of RCSLT.
- Completed RCSLT NQT competencies.
- Dysphagia trained.
- Ideally previous paediatric experience.
