An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 6 month fixed term contract Patient Pathway Administrator (PPA), based at Abbeyfields, Bishops Court, Abbeyfields Road, Nottingham (NG7 2SZ). We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious team player who can work well under pressure, prioritise their workload, and support a high‑quality administrative service across multiple specialties.

Job Description- Accurately listen to dictated letters from supplied scripts, amending and correcting grammar as required.
- Transcribe clinical letters using Big Hand, producing high‑quality work within deadlines.
- Establish and maintain admin systems/databases.
- Manage incoming mail and results/reports.
- Navigate hospital information systems (e.g., Nerve Centre, NotIS) to obtain appointment and test information.
- Prioritise requests based on importance and urgency using judgement and initiative.
- Answer telephone queries and escalates appropriately.
- Exchange sensitive information with diplomacy and confidentiality.
- Perform other specialty‑specific duties per Trust policies and procedures.
- Adapt a flexible attitude to meet the needs of each department’s unique specialty.
- Provide cover for PPA colleagues during sickness and annual leave.
- Promote an open, friendly working environment.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Good standard of education: 5+ GCSEs including English Language Grade 5 or above.
- Computer literate to ECDL standard or equivalent.
- Proven typing and admin experience.
- Fast and accurate audio typing.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Ability to navigate different computer systems.
- Understanding of confidentiality, information governance and data protection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with staff at all levels.
- Clearly and accurately convey information from verbal and documented reports.
