HIEM Innovator Support Coordinator
Are you passionate about supporting innovation in health and care? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where your organisational skills make a real impact? We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Innovator Support Coordinator to help deliver our core NHSE and OLS commissions, as well as Commercial Partnerships activity.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be the first point of contact for innovators seeking support directly or through the NHS Innovation Service. You’ll triage enquiries, coordinate meetings and support activities, and work with the Commercial team to guide innovators to the right resources and support networks. You’ll have the opportunity to shape programmes of support and online resources, contributing directly to accelerating innovation in health and care across the UK.
HIEM is a hybrid working organisation with staff working a combination of home and office. As Innovator Support Coordinator, you’ll be involved in discovering health and care innovations that meet the needs of healthcare system challenges, and developing offers to support innovators to progress their ideas and navigate the NHS.
Main duties of the job
Manage incoming enquiries and referrals, schedule support activities, and signpost innovators to relevant resources. Maintain accurate records in our CRM system to support quarterly reporting and impact tracking.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in administration or business support, ideally within the NHS, social care, or a health‑related setting.
- A proven track record in a senior administrative role within a large, complex organisation.
- Someone who is organised, responsive, and passionate about making a difference.
About Us
Commissioned by NHS England and the Office for Life Sciences, HIEM is hosted by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust but operates as a self‑contained organisation with offices at the Jubilee Campus of the University of Nottingham. We bring together partners from all sectors involved in health and care—NHS, social care and public health, patients, research, third sector and industry—to identify, test and spread new technologies and better ways of working.
We save the NHS money, generate economic growth, empower health and care staff, and improve lives for patients. We work closely with our health and care stakeholders to establish their priorities and provide support, importing evidenced solutions from other Health Innovation Network regions and exporting successful East Midlands programmes nationally.
