MRI Band 6 Radiographer

ZeroAge invites applications for a Senior MRI Radiographer to support the busy MRI department across multiple sites. The role offers a structured training programme on a range of MRI scanners and 7‑day service with on‑call provision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging procedures within the area of specialty.
  • Maintain high standards of radiographic work and continually improve patient care.
  • Triage workflow and patients to maximise departmental efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with staff and other disciplines.
  • Assess patient suitability for magnetic field using safety questionnaires.
  • Operate radiographic equipment and manoeuvre patients to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Provide safe and high‑quality imaging for patients.

Essential Qualifications

  • Diploma of the College of Radiographers or B.Sc. (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience in MRI imaging.
  • Experience within NHS or associated MRI providers.
  • Evidence of managing workload and patient pathway.
  • Good communication skills.
  • IT and computer skills.
  • Manual handling skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts (7.5–12.5 hours) and participate in on‑call system.

  • Evidence of CPD.
  • Evidence of supporting less experienced staff.
  • Post‑graduate qualification.
  • Basic line management experience.
  • Evidence of flexible working approach.
