The Role
As an Energy Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Trader and assisting with the trading and risk management of ZTP’s clients and their baskets, ensuring that they receive timely market reports that will support decision-making processes.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the senior trader to achieve the best executions for all trades.
- Develop and maintain risk reporting/analytics to communicate position and market risk to the Senior trader.
- Develop and issue market fundamental reports for daily, weekly, and monthly circulation to customers.
- Responsible for market analysis (supply and demand, global arbitrage, margins).
- Responsible for internal reports on trading activity.
- Monitor customers' energy hedge position reports and transacted trades conducted by the senior trader.
- Support the account management teams with market analysis and supplier performance data to include in new business and renewal proposals.
- Build, develop and maintain tools and trading models to assist in ZTP’s trading decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and analyse data to support risk analysis for gas and power markets.
- Provide accurate and timely energy market intelligence to ZTP’s internal and external stakeholders.
- Present information on energy markets to the internal stakeholders and external clients.
