Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Accountant to join our team on-site in Colchester. The role includes processing daily financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, assisting with month-end and year-end financial close processes, and providing administrative support to the finance team. The Assistant Accountant will also be involved in managing invoices, supporting budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and account reconciliation
- Understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial software
- Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience in the healthcare or care services sector is a plus
