As an MOT Tester / Mechanic, you will play a key role in delivering a high standard of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work. You will be responsible for carrying out MOT testing, diagnosing faults, and completing mechanical repairs efficiently while ensuring all work meets the required safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, as well as contributing positively as part of the wider workshop team.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and requirements
- Service and repair a wide range of vehicles
- Diagnose faults and complete mechanical repairs efficiently and accurately
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Follow company procedures and maintain excellent standards of workmanship
- Provide support to colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of the workshop
- Valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4)
- Proven experience working as a vehicle technician/mechanic
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
