An established and growing manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Quality Engineer to join its team at its Harlow HQ. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in quality improvement, supporting cross-functional teams and helping to drive a right-first-time culture across products and processes.
The Role
You will support quality monitoring, investigation, and continuous improvement activities, helping to reduce waste and improve overall product and process performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the handling of warranty claims and customer-reported quality issues
- Assisting with customer investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Participating in inspection activities including Tool Proof Samples, First Product Runs and Pre-Shipment Inspections
- Supporting new product introduction through quality planning, risk assessment and DFMEA activities
- Defining and maintaining inspection standards, sampling plans and quality controls
- Analysing scrap, rework and non-conformance trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Providing day-to-day quality support across assembly, warehouse and production operations
- Raising and managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests
