We’re delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established precision engineering organisation, seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to support its continued growth. The Quality Inspector will play a key role in ensuring that components and assemblies meet strict quality, safety and regulatory standards. This position involves detailed inspection, measurement and verification processes, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain excellence across all operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect components, sub-assemblies and finished products against engineering drawings and specifications
  • Carry out precision measurements using metrology equipment (micrometres, callipers, gauges etc.)
  • Identify and document non-conformances, supporting corrective and preventive actions
  • Review and validate engineering documentation, including drawings and quality procedures
  • Collaborate with production teams to monitor processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure full traceability in line with regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Proven background in a quality role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience with inspection tools and metrology techniques
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
