We are seeking a proactive and well-connected Business Development Manager to drive growth within the business. This role is pivotal in expanding our presence across the sector, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the successful delivery of renewable and retrofit projects.
The ideal candidate will bring an established network within the social housing and public sector, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including bid writing and delivery functions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy in line with and in collaboration with companies within the Earnz Plc group.
- Leverage existing relationships and build new connections to generate a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Identify, track, and qualify new leads, frameworks, and funding opportunities within the sector.
- Work closely with the bid writing team to shape compelling, highâquality submissions for tenders and frameworks.
- Support the preparation of bids by contributing market insights, client knowledge, and win strategies.
- Attend industry events, networking forums, and stakeholder meetings to represent the business and enhance brand visibility.
- Maintain upâtoâdate knowledge of government policy, funding schemes, and regulatory changes impacting the market.
- Collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and operational capability.
- Track and report on sales activity, pipeline progress, and conversion rates.
- Proven experience in a Business Development role within the renewables, construction, and retrofit sectors.
- Strong, demonstrable relationships with housing associations and local authorities.
- Inâdepth understanding of retrofit programmes (e.g., energy efficiency upgrades, decarbonisation initiatives).
- Experience working alongside bid writing teams and contributing to successful tender submissions.
- Proactive, selfâmotivated, and resultsâdriven approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
