Position Summary: Wintel Professional Services Consultant – specialist software engineering business. Required deep technical problem‑solving, understanding of applications in real‑world server environments, and customer interaction on modernization projects. If you come from Wintel, Client Platform, Application Support, or Infrastructure Engineering and can package, troubleshoot, and navigate legacy to modern challenges, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work across the full lifecycle of application migration and modernization
- Reverse‑engineer legacy apps from older Windows Server environments
- Analyze dependencies, services, IIS components, registry, permissions, & configs
- Package and prepare workloads for modern, evergreen platforms
- Work directly with customers, workshops, demos, troubleshooting sessions
- Support pre‑sales conversations and contribute to solution proposals
- Produce clear, structured documentation that others can follow
What We’re Looking For:
You must understand the full ecosystem around Windows Applications. You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- Strong Windows Server experience (2000–2022)
- Background in Wintel, Client Platform, App Support, or Infrastructure
- Real‑world troubleshooting depth (SysInternals, services, IIS, networking)
- Experience migrating or supporting bespoke / legacy enterprise apps
- Confident communication with customers
- Ability to document clearly and logically
- Curiosity, reasoning ability, and a methodical approach to fixing the unknown
