If you come from Wintel, Client Platform, Application Support, or Infrastructure Engineering and can package, troubleshoot, and think your way through legacy to modern challenges, this one is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll work across the full lifecycle of application migration and modernisation
- Reverse-engineering legacy apps from older Windows Server environments
- Analysing dependencies, services, IIS components, registry, permissions & configs
- Troubleshooting using SysInternals, Wireshark, API Monitor & log analysis
- Packaging and preparing workloads for modern, evergreen platforms
- Working directly with customers, workshops, demos, troubleshooting sessions
- Supporting pre-sales conversations and contributing to solution proposals
- Producing clear, structured documentation that others can follow
If you enjoy solving problems no one else can solve, you’ll thrive!
What We’re Looking For
You must understand the full ecosystem around Windows Applications. You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- Strong Windows Server experience (2000–2022)
- Background in Wintel, Client Platform, App Support, or Infrastructure
- Real-world troubleshooting depth (SysInternals, services, IIS, networking)
- Experience migrating or supporting bespoke / legacy enterprise apps
- Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, batch, etc.)
- Confident communication with customers
- Ability to document clearly and logically
- Curiosity, reasoning ability, and a methodical approach to fixing the unknown
If you can explain your approach, not just what tools you use, that’s the difference maker here.
What You’ll Get
- Exposure to unique, complex application modernisation work
- Highly skilled team & supportive leadership
- Autonomy, technical depth, and variety across industries
- Hybrid working (2 days per week in London)
- Salary £60,000–£65,000
