An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Wandsworth. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a student with an EHCP, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the student's educational journey by working closely with teachers, the SENCO, pastoral staff, and external professionals to deliver consistent, personalised support throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or someone with a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs in a secondary school setting.
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a student with an EHCP, ensuring they are fully included in school life and able to access the curriculum in a way that meets their individual needs. You will work alongside teaching staff to implement strategies and interventions outlined within the student's EHCP while promoting independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
