We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and engaging Secondary Tutor to support a Year 10 female who is currently out of education due to school refusal.
This role is ideal for a tutor with experience supporting vulnerable young people, helping them rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning and successfully reintegrate into education.
About the Role You will deliver personalised 1:1 Maths, English and Science tuition, initially face-to-face home sessions and eventually school sessions when appropriate.
The successful tutor will work closely with the student to provide both academic support and emotional encouragement throughout their reintegration journey.
Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, differentiated 1:1 Maths, English and Science tuition at Key Stage 4 level.
Adapt lessons to meet the student's individual learning needs and pace.
Build a positive, trusting relationship that encourages engagement with education.
Support the student's confidence, resilience and motivation.
Work towards reducing learning gaps and preparing the student for a successful return to school.
Provide regular feedback and progress updates following each tuition session.
