We are recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants for September starting positions within mainstream primary schools across the London boroughs. If you have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs within a primary setting, we welcome your application as we have several different SEN support roles available across the boroughs listed below.

  • 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant roles supporting individual pupils
  • Classroom-based SEN TA roles supporting multiple pupils with additional needs
  • Autism Support TA roles
  • SEN TA roles supporting pupils with ADHD and additional learning needs
  • Speech & Language Support TA roles
  • Intervention and small group support roles

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is preferred
  • Experience within a primary school setting is desirable
  • Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, or additional learning needs is advantageous
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Relevant qualifications or childcare / education experience desirable but not essential

  • Trial Lessons & Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited to attend paid trial day(s) during July 2026 as part of the recruitment process.
