Responsibilities- Provide 24x7 production support, administration, and monitoring for Apache Cassandra environments.
- Design, implement, and manage multi–data center NoSQL clusters to ensure resiliency and business continuity.
- Develop and maintain backup and restore strategies.
- Manage and monitor Cassandra OpsCenter and OpsManager servers for performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive health checks.
- Leverage observability and monitoring tools such as OpsCenter and OpsManager to ensure system reliability and visibility.
- Automate routine operational tasks using Shell scripting and Ansible.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior team members.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise change management, incident management, and compliance processes using tools like ServiceNow.
- At least 8+ years of proven experience working within an IT organisation set up for Banking and Financial Services.
- Strong domain knowledge of the banking ecosystem and a deep understanding of the market dynamics.
- Strong technical expertise in Cassandra, OpsCenter, OpsManager and Grafana.
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting and Ansible and should have expertise in ServiceNow tool.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative solutions.
- Strong understanding of technological trends and market developments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be educated to at least degree level or equivalent.
