Role Overview:
Zenovo are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their client in Reading. A suitable candidate will have experience working within an Electronic Engineering Environment. Our client is an established business that supports customers across a variety of industries, with the design, integration, and supply of advanced electronic products. In this role, a successful candidate will drive the design and development of innovative new products, acting as the technical lead and providing expert support across all stages of project lifecycle, from requirements gathering with a customer, to product manufacturing and deployment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design and development of new products, providing engineering expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define project plans, establish realistic timescales, and identify the resources required to achieve successful delivery of projects and products.
- Support customer proposals by developing technical solutions, preparing cost estimates, and identifying potential risks.
- Ensure all technical documentation is created, maintained, and controlled in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance engineering processes, procedures, and ways of working.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualified in Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Understanding and experience of working through the Product Design Lifecycle, including from initial concept to manufacturing.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, including safety, EMC, and environmental requirements within commercial and regulated sectors.
- Understanding of quality management systems and the importance of maintaining compliance with established standards.
- Exposure to Embedded Software and firmware development environments.
- Knowledge of CAD (ideally SolidWorks).
