Overview: On behalf of a client in Swindon, Zenovo are looking for an Assistant Technical Project Manager to work with Senior Project Managers & Engineers, supporting the development and execution of a portfolio of Electronics projects and programs. Alongside the Senior Project Manager, you will be involved with ensuring that every aspect of the program is completed on time and within budget, as well as acting as a liaison between the individuals working on the program and key stakeholders.
An ideal candidate will possess the following experience and knowledge:
- Exposure to project coordination or support across the project lifecycle
- Understanding of electronics-based projects & systems
- Familiarity with working in structured or regulated environments
- Awareness of projects involving Hardware, Electronics, or a mix of analogue and digital design
- Experience with project tracking or reporting tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, PowerBI, or similar
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or Related Discipline
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Project Managers and project teams in gathering requirements, clarifying objectives, and defining project scope.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of project plans, schedules, documentation, and status reports.
- Help track project progress against timelines, scope, and budget, escalating risks or issues when identified.
- Coordinate project activities across internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Monitor action items, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare and communicate regular project updates to stakeholders under guidance from senior project managers.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting notes, schedules, and reports.
- Assist with issue escalation and contribute to solutions-focused discussions when challenges arise.
