Our partner is developing advanced connected instrumentation and IoT-enabled embedded systems for life sciences applications, combining electronics, embedded firmware, sensing, data acquisition and connectivity across the full product lifecycle - from initial concept and prototyping through to production.
We are looking for a Contract Senior Electronics Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation connected of audio IoT devices.
You will work across the hardware and firmware stack, contributing to analogue front-end design, embedded hardware architecture, sensor integration, data acquisition, connectivity and low-level firmware, with a strong focus on reliable, low-power connected systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mixed-signal electronics for connected and IoT-enabled devices
- Develop analogue front ends, sensor interfaces and data acquisition systems
- Define embedded hardware architecture and system partitioning
- Integrate and interface with sensors and peripherals using SPI, I²C, UART, ADC/DAC and other common interfaces
- Support hardware-firmware integration, debugging, validation and board bring-up
- Contribute to low-power and battery-operated IoT device architectures
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across electronics, firmware, software and product development
- Support products through the development lifecycle, from proof-of-concept and prototyping through to production
- Strong professional experience in analogue and mixed-signal electronics design
- Proven experience designing embedded hardware for connected/IoT devices
- Experience with sensor integration, data acquisition and measurement systems
- Good understanding of embedded communications and peripheral interfaces, including SPI, I²C and UART
- Experience with hardware/firmware integration, debugging and system bring-up
- Knowledge of low-power design, battery management and power-conscious embedded systems
- Degree or higher in Electronics, Embedded Systems or a related engineering discipline
