We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join an established and technically specialist engineering business developing and manufacturing high-performance electronic products for demanding applications. We’re particularly interested in engineers with solid electronics/electrical design experience, an interest in RF technology, and the aptitude and enthusiasm to develop specialist skills through hands-on training and mentoring.
About the Role
- Designing and developing electrical/electronic products and assemblies.
- Producing and modifying engineering designs, schematics and technical documentation.
- Supporting the development of products from initial concept through to manufacture.
- Carrying out design calculations, analysis and simulation where required.
- Supporting testing, fault finding and validation of new and existing designs.
- Working closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, robust and manufacturable.
- Investigating technical issues and identifying effective design solutions.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of existing products and processes.
About You
- A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical experience of electrical/electronic design.
- The ability to understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- An analytical and methodical approach to engineering problems.
- Good attention to detail and a practical approach to design.
- An interest in RF, microwave or high-frequency electronics.
- The ability to work effectively with both engineering and manufacturing teams.
- A willingness to learn and develop specialist technical expertise.
