An innovative engineering organisation is looking to add a Junior Firmware Engineer to its growing development team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop their skills working on embedded firmware for next-generation products within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
You'll contribute throughout the product development lifecycle, from design and development through to testing and release, while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
About the Role
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for a range of electronic products.
- Write embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems.
- Support the design, implementation and debugging of real-time embedded software.
- Work closely with electronics and systems engineers throughout the development process.
- Support firmware integration, testing and validation activities.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Learn and develop your understanding of embedded systems, development tools and firmware best practices.
About You
- Some commercial, academic or project experience in embedded firmware development.
- Good programming skills in C/C++.
- Understanding of CAN communication protocols.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems architecture.
- Familiarity with debugging embedded systems using standard development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
