Overview: This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across embedded hardware design, PCB development, applications engineering and customer support within a technically diverse environment. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys practical problem-solving, learning new technologies and working on a variety of engineering projects across a number of different industries. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager and wider technical team to support both internal development activities and customer-facing projects.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of electronic circuits and schematic design principles.
- Familiarity with PCB design/layout tools such as Altium, KiCad, OrCAD or similar.
- Practical laboratory skills and experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and embedded C/C++.
- Comfortable working with Linux or Raspberry Pi-based systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with customers and colleagues.
- Motivated, organised and eager to develop technical skills in a commercial environment.
