Job Title: Electronics Technician Location: Edinburgh Salary: Competitive (DOE) We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Technician to join a growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in electronics assembly, soldering, and wiring, who is looking for a new challenge in a technical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with electronic components, assembling circuit boards, soldering connections and carrying out wiring tasks to a high standard.
About the Role
Assembling electronic components and equipment. Carrying out soldering work on circuit boards and electronic assemblies. Wiring, crimping and terminating cables, connectors and electrical components. Reading and following technical drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions. Inspecting and testing assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy. Identifying and reporting any faults or defects during production. Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health and safety, and organisation.
About You
Previous experience in electronics assembly, soldering, wiring or a similar technical production role. Good practical skills and attention to detail. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings or wiring diagrams. A methodical approach to work, with a focus on quality and accuracy. A reliable, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with PCB assembly, through-hole or surface-mount soldering, cable harnesses, or electrical wiring. Please note, we cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
