We are seeking an experienced Test & Verification Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is a hybrid role based in Gloucester, with an expectation of on‑site working three days per week. An ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of commercial experience across all aspects of validation and verification throughout the full product development lifecycle, with a strong technical background in testing embedded software on electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design & develop comprehensive verification test plans
- Prepare repeatable and reliable test cases aligned with system requirements
- Perform embedded software testing, utilising automation where possible
- Conduct hands-on hardware testing using laboratory equipment
- Review and refine requirements to ensure they are clear, measurable, and testable
- Analyse test data and produce clear reports
- Expertise in defining and implementing V&V strategies
- Formal software testing, including manual and automated test case development
- Proven experience testing embedded systems
- Experienced in the use of requirements management tools and processes
- Able to interpret technical documentation, including electronic schematics and datasheets
- Ability to operate laboratory instrumentation and test equipment
- Good experience working in Agile development environments
