This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically, electronically or mechanically trained engineer looking to develop a long-term career in field service engineering. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience with ultrasound imaging systems, with a clear pathway to progress into more advanced technologies including X-ray. Based from home and working across a regional territory, you'll initially shadow experienced engineers before gradually taking ownership of your own workload, customer visits and service activities. Full training and mentoring will be provided, making this a great opportunity for a junior engineer or graduate looking to move into a customer-facing field service position. What you'll be doing Assist with the installation and commissioning of ultrasound equipment. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Diagnose faults and support equipment repairs. Provide on-site technical support to customers. Carry out QA and commissioning activities. Shadow experienced Field Service Engineers and develop your technical knowledge. Complete service documentation and reports. Build strong, professional relationships with customers. Manage your own diary and travel schedule as your experience develops. Progress towards supporting more complex medical imaging technologies, including X-ray. Equipment you'll work with Ultrasound scanning systems Medical imaging equipment Electrical and electronic components Diagnostic and testing equipment Future exposure to X-ray technology as you progress What we're looking for We're looking to speak with technically minded engineers who are keen to develop a career in field service and enjoy working directly with customers. HNC minimum in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering. HND or degree desirable. Junior engineers, graduates and candidates looking to move into field service are encouraged to apply. Strong practical and hands-on engineering ability. Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, organised and able to manage your own time. Friendly, personable and confident when dealing with customers. Positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn. Comfortable working independently once fully trained. Full UK driving licence. Ideally based around Daventry / NN, although Milton Keynes, South/East Coventry and Loughborough will also be considered. Willingness to travel regionally, with approximately 1–2 overnight stays per month on average.
