We are seeking a knowledgeable and commercially minded Field Veterinary Advisor - Farm to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a farm veterinary professional who enjoys building relationships, sharing technical expertise, and supporting customers across the agricultural sector.
As a key member of the technical team, you will work closely with Territory Managers and customers across the UK and Ireland, providing expert veterinary guidance, delivering presentations, supporting marketing initiatives, and acting as a trusted advisor within the livestock industry. This role is ideal for an experienced Farm Technical Advisor, a veterinary professional with a farm background, or a farm veterinarian looking to transition into a commercial field-based role.
The position involves extensive travel and offers the opportunity to engage with a wide range of customers, industry stakeholders, and events while representing a market-leading business.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical and veterinary support to farm customers, veterinary practices, and internal teams.
- Work closely with Territory Managers to identify and attend customer appointments, ensuring technical support is delivered where it adds the greatest value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry professionals across the agricultural sector.
- Deliver engaging presentations, training sessions, and educational programs to veterinary practices and farming audiences.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and customer events, including occasional evening commitments.
- Develop scientific content, technical articles, journal submissions, advertising materials, and other marketing resources.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide technical guidance on products and farm-related veterinary matters.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging research, and best practices within the livestock sector.
- Collaborate effectively with commercial, technical, and marketing teams to support business objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, activities, and follow-up actions.
Requirements
- Veterinary qualification or significant technical expertise within the farm animal sector.
- Strong knowledge of livestock production and farm animal health.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and confidently.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while managing a varied and travel-intensive schedule.
- Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays when required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Previous experience as a Farm Technical Advisor or in a similar field-based technical role.

Working Pattern & Travel
- Field-based role with approximately 60% travel (typically around three days per week).
- Travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
