The Lean Six Sigma Practitioner leads key cross-functional Lean Six Sigma improvement projects across the site focused on improving processes in both operational and support departments. They are responsible for deploying the use of Lean Six Sigma & Kaizen PDCA tools and methodologies across the site, leading efforts to reduce variation and waste within processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver CI projects using Kaizen, Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Identify & quantify opportunities to deliver improvements across the site in relation to Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost.
  • Drive a reduction in “Defects” & Process “Waste” in processes to maximise Quality & Productivity.
  • Identify and deliver Kaizen, Lean & Six Sigma training for targeted resources & support.
  • Lead Quality & Manufacturing efficiency improvement activities using appropriate improvement tools.
  • Support the implementation of new products and processes with the most appropriate methodology/tools as required.
  • Lead & support the training and coaching of staff to increase capability in the use of Kaizen, Lean & Six Sigma improvement tools.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Be qualified to degree level or equivalent year’s experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Leadership.
  • Has comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated practical experience of Kaizen, Lean & Six Sigma tools such as PDCA, 5S, Standard Work, TAKT time Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, Cp, CpK, Gage R&R, DOE & Minitab software.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of manufacturing technology such as DMEA, FMEA, Design for Manufacture.
  • Has knowledge of differing manufacturing & assembly processes.
