My client is a highly successful Rotherham based manufacturer who is looking for an Operations Manager to join their Sheffield site. With an exceptional range of products supplied to a large customer base, this business is looking for an ambitious, driven and detail-focused Manufacturing Operations Manager to help further company growth and development.

Job Description
Reporting directly to the Site Director, the Manufacturing Operations Manager will be responsible for directing and managing all production activities across the facility, including manufacturing, engineering, HSEQ, and delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

1. Managing manufacturing of products, on time, in full to the required standards
2. Promoting and supporting continuous improvements and company best practices
3. Developing and improving key metrics such as OEE, safety, quality, OTD, and profitability
4. Positively driving behaviors to ensure employee engagement
5. Driving initiatives to deliver manufacturing excellence across systems, procedures, policies, and standards
6. Acting as a member of the senior leadership team, working alongside colleagues and liaising with both customers and suppliers

The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will have a strong manufacturing background and a good understanding of operational management. You will also possess:

1. Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes with short lead times
2. Proven experience of implementing and improving KPIs
3. Hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck in on the shop floor
4. Ability to think fast under pressure and remain resilient
5. Strong communication skills at all levels, from the shop floor to the boardroom
6. Detail-oriented and an innovative, customer-focused approach
