Overview The ADOBE EMEA team, which has +90 members spread across London and India, covers all EMEA activity, from establishing strategy to media planning, activating media across digital channels, and reporting on campaign results. We handle both performance and upper funnel activity and are dedicated to creating full‑funnel strategies to maximise Adobe's digital engagement. We are looking for a EMEA Planning Director. This is an opportunity to work with one of the world’s finest global technology firms in a freshly formed team dedicated to delivering the greatest digital marketing in the world. It is an interesting, dynamic, and diverse workplace in which to manage significant budgets and learn from the top practitioners. We are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This person should exude confidence and be able to motivate, educate and aid the development of other members of the team. Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, it is expected that they should be able to ‘hit the ground running’, and for the most part be able to manage their team autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, define and deliver the regional strategic and tactical planning process across Adobe EMEA markets.
  • Develop effective and efficient planning strategies across each in‑scope digital and TV/OOH channels and campaigns to drive brand, digital and business results for Adobe.
  • Help manage and actively drive the end‑to‑end strategy, planning and buying process across each campaign.
  • Take responsibility for the end‑to‑end delivery of campaign plans, working closely with Digital Activation Team.
  • Develop best‑in‑class digital campaigns and innovation.
  • Develop relationships with key media vendors.
  • Help to develop test & learn programmes to improve media effectiveness in partnership with Digital Activation teams.
  • Ensure best‑in‑class audience targeting and data relevance, ensuring this is actionable at a campaign activation level.
  • Effectively analyse historical campaigns to integrate insights into future campaigns.
  • Always seek out new and improved planning approaches, partners, data sets, processes, and ways of working to continuously improve the team.
  • Manage, coach and mentor direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience of delivering strategies and plans to meet Adobe needs, ideally in a multi‑market setting.
  • Experience briefing a team of specialists and the ability to bridge planning & specialist execution.
  • Knowledgeable in all media channels, particularly digital channels.
  • Ability to tell compelling stories through data and gain buy‑in across a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • A strategic and big‑picture thinker, grounded in digital, analytics and optimisation, able to uncover strategic insights that can help create, shape, and transform overall client strategic direction through a media strategy and communications plan.
  • Strong account management skills to ensure seamless delivery, build trust and develop an effective working relationship with Adobe and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to convincingly present the agency’s ideas and plans to senior Adobe stakeholders.
  • Possess a natural curiosity and desire to help clients achieve goals.
  • Clear grasp of technical digital concepts, with a reasonably practical technical knowledge.
  • Able to multi‑task and prioritise, with exceptional organisational skills, even when under pressure.
  • Able to identify when to escalate potential issues before they become a problem.
  • A team player, committed to the collective success of the entire Adobe.Pub and Adobe.
  • Positive and well‑informed, able to think quickly on your feet, not afraid to speak up and can defend their point of view without being dogmatic.
  • Keen on new challenges and able to operate in a changing and flexible environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to understand and interpret data; to identify trends, opportunities and make strategic arguments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to quickly spot mistakes and inconsistencies in data.
