We are looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our friendly, supportive and forward‑thinking Legal & Compliance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on interesting and varied legal matters across the business, partnering closely with stakeholders and playing a key role in enabling smart, sustainable growth. As Legal Counsel, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice across a wide range of matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer, supplier, outsourcing and commercial agreements across B2B, IT, property and general services
- Advising on legal and commercial risk, working collaboratively with colleagues to protect the business while enabling progress
- Supporting new business activity, bids and customer schemes with clear, commercial legal input
- Developing expertise across relevant areas of law, including commercial, corporate and employment
- Advising on policies, websites and marketing materials in partnership with Legal, Compliance and Marketing
- Managing and instructing external legal counsel where required
- Contributing to knowledge sharing, training and continuous improvement within the Legal team
- Building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across Procurement, IT, HR, Finance, New Business and Account Management

What we’re looking for
Essential
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification), from NQ up to circa 3 years’ PQE
- Strong interest in commercial, corporate and/or employment law
- Confidence making autonomous decisions during contract drafting and negotiation
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and document management systems
Desirable
- In‑house experience or secondment
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Exposure to financial services or regulated environments
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools, AI or legal technology
