Your Role & Impact

As a Compliance Monitoring Officer, you’ll make a real difference as part of a small, trusted team. You’ll manage all areas of compliance monitoring activities and be empowered to complete reviews independently. You’ll be hands‑on with operations, ensuring processes meet regulatory standards while strengthening relationships as a true compliance partner. Our operations teams value compliance, and you’ll play a key role in maintaining that trust and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out monitoring reviews across consumer operations (sales, collections, customer service).
  • Assess adherence to FCA, CCA, GDPR, Consumer Duty, and internal policies.
  • Review customer communications, credit agreements, complaints handling, and call recordings.
  • Identify risks and make clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Support the design of the Compliance Monitoring Plan by collaborating with teams and understanding business processes.
  • Track remediation actions to completion and provide assurance to management.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure these are reflected in monitoring activities.

About You

You will have experience in compliance monitoring or risk within a regulated environment (financial services, consumer credit, or similar). You’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of FCA rules (Particularly CONC and DISP) and UK legislation (Consumer Credit Act, GDPR).
  • Excellent communication skills – able to explain issues clearly and build trust.
  • Relationship management skills – collaborative and confident engaging with stakeholders.
  • A curious, analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and adapting to new systems and processes.
