HGV Technician Supervisor at Zenith Vehicles

Compensation: Starting from £54k with regular overtime opportunities (OTE £65k+). Salary per hour from £20.85 plus increases with IRTEC & Double Deck certification.

Location: Harlow (CM19). Working day shifts Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fleets of trucks & trailers on customers’ sites in accordance with current legislation.
• Fault finding and diagnostics.
• Complete inspections on engines and electrical components and rectify problems within specific timeframes.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on new and used trucks & trailers.
• Work on large double deck trailers – double deck experience is required.
• Supervise a team of HGV technicians across the VMU.

Essential Skills & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Knowledge and experience of servicing and maintaining HGVs and other commercial vehicles, and the ability to perform repairs on various types and brands of vehicle.
• Experience carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills, as well as people‑management / supervisory skills.

Overtime

• 1.5x base rate for work on Saturdays.
• 2x base rate for Sundays and/or Bank Holidays (plus a day back in lieu for working a Bank Holiday).
