You'll play a key role in managing vehicle repairs, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum for our customers.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Fleet Administrator, you'll be responsible for tracking and progressing vehicle defects and repairs across our nationwide supplier network.
You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and service levels are maintained.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Monitoring and progressing vehicle repair and maintenance jobs.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain repair updates and challenge delays where necessary.
- Ensuring accurate records and job notes are maintained on internal systems.
- Updating customers on the status of repairs and expected completion times.
- Supporting inbound customer and supplier enquiries via telephone and email.
- Escalating issues and sourcing alternative solutions when delays impact service delivery.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Fleet Operations to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Assisting with the management of breakdown and emergency repair cases when required.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have excellent communication skills and a strong administrative background, ideally gained within a fleet, logistics, automotive, or customer service environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and telephone handling experience.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Experience working in a similar administrative or customer-focused role.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience within the fleet, transport, automotive, HGV or LCV sectors.
- Experience using database systems such as SQL or similar platforms.
