Based in our Kirkstall Forge office in the Leeds area, this role is as diverse as it is rewarding, with a strong focus on customer service and the chance to build connections with a variety of internal and external partners. As a Downtime Management Controller, you'll play a critical role in keeping our customers mobile by ensuring vehicle off-road time is managed efficiently and effectively. As part of our friendly and driven Downtime Management team, you'll be the go-to contact for both drivers and suppliers when a vehicle is off the road. You'll combine strong communication, attention to detail, and investigative thinking to drive down repair time and ensure vehicles are back on the road as quickly and smoothly as possible.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be a self-starter who can thrive under pressure, work well in a team, and deliver first-class service. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, IT proficiency, and excellent organization are all essential.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Manage repairs through Zenith's preferred mechanical network.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
  • Monitor and update vehicle repair progress using internal systems.
  • Be the driver's first point of contact for repair updates and mobility support.
  • Investigate and challenge repair times, liaising with our in-house Technical Services team.
  • Raise and manage Accelerate cases where needed.
  • Keep customers proactively informed throughout the repair process.
  • Generate VOR (Vehicle Off Road) reports for internal and external use.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate on process improvements.
