Zenith are partnering with a long-standing, reputable organisation to recruit a talented Crane Technician. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and optimising the performance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment across a fast-paced operational site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Crane Maintenance Technician who’s looking to grow their career within a supportive, hands-on manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns on cranes and lifting systems.
  • Conduct scheduled inspections, testing, and routine servicing activities.
  • Manage maintenance workloads, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed efficiently.
  • Provide input to improve maintenance routines, schedules, and overall equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records for all crane and lifting equipment maintenance activities.
  • Communicate essential information to management, engineering teams, and colleagues across shifts.
  • Update stores and parts records during each shift.
  • Support the training and development of team members as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering qualification.
  • Previous experience with preventative and reactive maintenance on overhead cranes is essential.

Person Attributes

  • Experience working under pressure with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks in line with operational needs.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Competent computer skills, including familiarity with standard MS Office applications.
  • Comfortable working at height.
