We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Geospatial Surveyor to join our team based in the Scottish Highlands.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in surveying while working on a wide variety of projects across the construction, infrastructure, utilities and renewable energy sectors.
Working alongside experienced surveyors, you will receive full training and gain hands‑on experience using the latest surveying technology including total stations, GNSS, laser scanners, UAVs and Li DAR systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering setting out and a wide range of surveying projects under the guidance of experienced surveyors
- Learn to operate and maintain the latest surveying equipment including total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners and UAVs
- Collect accurate survey data on site
- Support the processing and checking of survey information
- Carry out work safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements
- Maintain equipment and company vehicles to a high standard
- Develop technical knowledge and practical surveying skills through ongoing training
- The Person
- An interest in surveying, engineering, construction or geospatial technology
- No previous surveying experience is required as full training will be provided
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and with colleagues.
- Confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal
- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Professional manner with the ability to build good working relationships
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and travelling to project locations
- National 5 (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
Further qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Surveying or Geospatial subjects would be advantageous but are not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence (or currently working towards obtaining one)
- Right to work in the UK

This is a full‑time role with office hours of Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
