Zenith People are partnering with a long-standing, reputable organisation to recruit a talented Crane Technician. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and optimising the performance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment across a fast-paced operational site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Crane Maintenance Technician who’s looking to grow their career within a supportive, hands-on manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns on cranes and lifting systems.
- Conduct scheduled inspections, testing, and routine servicing activities.
- Manage maintenance workloads, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed efficiently.
- Provide input to improve maintenance routines, schedules, and overall equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records for all crane and lifting equipment maintenance activities.
- Communicate essential information to management, engineering teams, and colleagues across shifts.
- Update stores and parts records during each shift.
- Support the training and development of team members as required.
Skills & Experience
- Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering qualification.
- Previous experience with preventative and reactive maintenance on overhead cranes is essential.
Person Attributes
- Experience working under pressure with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks in line with operational needs.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Competent computer skills, including familiarity with standard MS Office applications.
- Comfortable working at height.
