Zenith People are working with our client who are recruiting for an experienced, Time-served Electrical Biased Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role is to provides engineering/ maintenance support by performing plant preventative maintenance, engineering support both during working hours and also out of hours support by working as part of an on-call roster (on call allowance when on call)
You will be responsible for electrical/ mechanical maintenance, repair and fault finding of plant and equipment.
Fulfilling the requirements of the facility CMMS to reduce unplanned downtime and works towards improvement of OEE.
Electrical/ mechanical fault finding, isolation and repair of equipment.
Providing input into the electrical maintenance and operation of plant equipment.
Carry out evaluation and risk assessments within all areas of the plant to ensure safe working methods and environment
Ensure that plant critical spares are maintained at the required level.
Identify suitable external resource when appropriate for routing maintenance activities or ongoing improvement projects.
Use SAP to raise purchase requisitions as appropriate.
Working on plant improvement initiatives and makes recommendations to reduce unplanned downtime.
Working with suitable external engineering services as and when required to ensure safe and effective operation of plant equipment.
Undertaking periodic training to ensure that maintenance activities are performed in compliance with best safe working practice and current legislation.
**No Night Shift on calls** No On Calls after 11pm Monday to Sunday
Qualifications & Skills Required
1.Minimum NVQ Level 3 – Previous practical experience working in High Volume Manufacturing Plant
2.Experience of maintaining and fault finding on the following types of equipment; PLC control, Variable Speed Drives, Conveyor Systems and Thermal processing equipment.
3.Familiar with the requirements of working within a GMP facility.
4.Excellent internal and external communications skills
5.Experience of working an on-call maintenance system.
