Job Description

Are you a skilled Design Draughtsperson ready to take your career to the next level? Our client—a design and manufacturing business is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is your chance to work on multi-million-pound projects that shape skylines and redefine architectural excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key player in the design team, you’ll bring concepts to life and collaborate across disciplines to deliver stunning, functional solutions. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Creating high-quality, detailed arrangement drawings for client approval
  • Collaborating with architects, consultants, and third parties to develop designs
  • Using your expertise in 2D AutoCAD to drive precision and innovation
  • Navigating Navisworks Manage (2020)—a plus, but not a dealbreaker
  • Attending design and progress meetings both on-site and virtually (Teams/Zoom)
  • Participating in internal handover, progress, and contract review sessions
  • Coordinating with production, procurement, and site-based teams
  • Ensuring seamless integration of design elements across all project stakeholders
  • Managing RFIs, variations, and technical documentation with confidence
  • Communicating structural details from our in-house Structural Engineer
  • Tracking and reporting progress against contract timelines
  • Handling project-specific admin and technical submissions
  • Collaborating with fellow draughtspersons on high-profile, large-scale projects
