The position of
Caretaker
is responsible for
the day to day running of the site
to ensure
a safe and maintained environment
for all.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: You will be expected to, amongst other elements of the role: Complete full building inspection/walk on a frequent basis to
identify
any
cleaning or maintenance issues To test, inspect and check working order and condition of building plant & machinery, including
l
ighting
,
h
eating
,
f
ire control system, alarms
,
smoke ventilation
,
l
ifts
,
w
ater pumps
,
tanks
,
d
oors
,
windows
,
w
aste chutes
,
a
ccess control systems, locks and security Grounds maintenance, li
tter
p
icking and sweeping hard
standing
outside areas and car park
s Where necessary test, reset and leave in good working order any malfunctioned items, or report matter to Facilities and Property managers Deal with third party visitors to the site, meeting contractors and signing-off site reports for contractors Take communal electricity meter reading for all properties as
required Deal with any ad-hoc maintenance issues Conduct
testing and ensure
hea
lth and safety needs are met Manage refuse collection
and bin rotations
for site in line with weekly collection
s Manage any unplanned cleaning emergencies
, including spillages and accidents in communal areas and ensuring internal
surfaces
are
free from dirt or marks Respond to any requests from owners and tenants
