Are you detail-oriented, methodical, and passionate about ensuring the highest standards in vehicle safety and compliance? At Zenith Vehicles, we're looking for a Compliance Auditor to play a critical role in supporting our commercial fleet operations by auditing and processing safety inspection reports and statutory documentation in line with legislative requirements.

The Role

As a Compliance Auditor, you'll help ensure that vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment across our commercial fleet are maintained to DVSA and HSE standards. Your work will directly support our customers in maintaining their earned recognition status and compliance with UK transport law.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Audit safety inspection reports and statutory documents with precision.
  • Highlight any safety-related defects immediately to the appropriate fleet teams.
  • Return incomplete or inaccurate documentation to suppliers and follow up for correction.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure all vehicles and trailers meet DVSA and HSE requirements.
  • Support customers in retaining earned recognition status by ensuring timely audits.
  • Escalate recurring supplier issues and provide insights to support continuous improvement.
  • Handle customer queries and collaborate across departments for seamless issue resolution.

What You'll Bring

  • Prior experience in a compliance, audit, or administrative role (ideally within a fleet or transport setting).
  • Strong working knowledge of DVSA standards and UK transport law.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to auditing.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in using software systems & Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Desirable But Not Essential

  • Experience in the commercial vehicle or transport industry.
  • A good understanding of commercial vehicle engineering.
