Are you a Qualified HGV Technician based near Rugby? Then we have a role for you! We're looking for a skilled professional to join our dedicated team at our customer's site in Rugby working 45 hours per week Monday - Friday.
You will be responsible for maintaining fleets of trucks & trailers for our customers on their sites, with a “right first time” approach, valuing quality work and long-term solutions over quick fixes that could cause our customers more downtime in the long run.
The Job
- Supporting customers at their sites by maintaining and repairing fleets of trucks & trailers in accordance with current legislation.
- Fault-finding and diagnostics.
- Completing inspections on engines and electrical components and rectifying problems within specific timeframes.
- Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to both new and used trucks & trailers.
- Working on large double deck trailers (double deck experience is required).
Essential Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent);
- Knowledge and experience of servicing and maintaining HGVs and other commercial vehicles and the ability to perform repairs on various types and brands of vehicle;
- Experience in carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- A real commitment to delivering first class service and a sense of pride in your work.
Overtime
We operate 24/7 at many of our customers' sites, meaning there are overtime opportunities available. This site will require weekend overtime – we will discuss the specific requirements of each role with you during the interview process. We reward our Technicians for supporting us to support our customers by offering payment uplift:
- 1.5x base rate for any overtime work on Saturdays
- 2x base rate Bank Holidays (Plus a day back in lieu for working a BH)
