Are you an experienced HGV Technician with a passion for working on a diverse fleet of vehicles? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our dedicated team at our workshop in Glasgow.

Shift pattern: Monday – Friday Day/Back shift 6am - 3.30pm / 1pm - 10.30pm (Friday backshift 9.30am - 7pm) (2 weeks early one week back), every 3rd Saturday 6am - 2pm.

With an in-house team of 120+ Mobile Service Technicians across the UK, a specialist workshop in Glasgow and a 3,000 strong third-party repair network, we can optimise fleet performance for our customers.

We are the industry leader in double-deck trailer maintenance. Our Glasgow Workshop provides specialised maintenance and repair services and works with manufacturers for approved accreditation and certification. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles, with 90% truck work and 10% trailer work. You will be working in a clean, warm and well-maintained environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform routine service, maintenance, and repair on HGVs, trucks, and trailers.
  • Carry out inspections and complete MOT prep and presentation.
  • Diagnose faults and efficiently rectify issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, including job cards and service sheets, using online systems.
  • Prioritise tasks to ensure quality service without sacrificing efficiency.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard with a focus on β€œRight First Time.”

What you will bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV Repair & Maintenance.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience working with HGV (Trucks & Trailers).
  • Full, valid driving licence.
  • Basic IT skills are beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Motivated, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Reward:

  • Rates start at Β£18.55 per hour, increase with IRTEC & Double Deck certifications.
  • Monday - Friday Day/Back shift & every 3rd Saturday (6am - 2pm) 47.5 hours per week.
  • Overtime opportunity paid at 1.5x for over 45 hours and Saturdays and 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays (plus time back in lieu when working a bank holiday).
