This is a contract role for a Setting Out Engineer, based on-site in London. The Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, setting out for construction works, ensuring accurate alignment of structures, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Other responsibilities include liaising with site managers, providing technical advice, and troubleshooting any challenges related to measurements and alignments to ensure precision.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in technical skills, including the use of total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying instruments
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, CAD software, and related technologies
  • Experience in site engineering tasks such as dimensional control, levelling, and alignment
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to address on-site challenges effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with on-site teams and project managers
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple site requirements
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to construction sites
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field
