Role Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end FLEXCUBE (or any other core-banking application) projects including implementation, migration, upgrade, rollouts, and post-go-live support.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource plans.
- Establish and manage project governance, reporting structures, and escalation mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans using industry-standard methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
- Act as the point of contact for business users, IT teams, Oracle/FLEXCUBE vendors, and system integrators.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and design discussions with business and technical teams.
- Manage vendor contracts, deliverables, and performance to ensure compliance with agreed SLAs.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and steering committees.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Oversee testing phases including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Manage change requests, scope changes, and impact assessments.
- Plan and coordinate cutover, data migration, and go-live activities.
- Lead post-go-live stabilization and handover to support teams.
- Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and training for business and IT users.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the CIO or CEO.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex banking IT projects.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills across cross-functional teams.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with banks, financial institutions, or system integrators is required.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Team player.
- Can do attitude and willingness to lead from the front.
This is a 12 Month FTC position paying up to £85,000 based on experience.
